The difference is hard news tries to tell a Story more concisely as possible and more detail as it uses all of the w’s what,where,when,why and how but a soft news it includes focuses on the person behind the headline.

A is the hard news because it tells the story with facts such as 40%

B is the soft news because it focuses on the main character

Outside is somebody who does not fit in among others

Feature writing will help an outsider because he will be on the news and help get publicity
